What Is RobotX?

Even Bigger Robots (Boat-Sized)

The Maritime RobotX Challenge is an international, university-level competition designed to foster student interest in autonomous robotic systems operating in the maritime domain, with an emphasis on the science and engineering of cooperative autonomy. This competition facilitates the building of international relationships between students, academic institutions, and industry partners.

RoboSeals combines the technical expertise of the University of South Australia with the competition experience of the Student Robotics Club of South Australia Inc. into one amazing team.

RobotX is providing these students with the opportunity to continue their interest in robotics beyond high school, allowing our alumni to remain involved with robotics even as they progress through their university degrees. They bring a wealth of diverse experiences to the team, as students are studying everything from engineering and computer science through to design, pharmacology and business. Along with what they bring from university, these students have many years of experience in building competitive robots and managing the trials of competition, and form the backbone of the new team.
